The participants and faculty of the Sixteenth Annual Arabic Music Retreat
will present a recital of classical Arabic music from the eastern Arab world. The concert will include performances by the Arabic Music Retreat Orchestra of some 75 musicians, participant chamber groups, as well as selections by the Retreat's all-star faculty. This week-long event brings together musicians from all over the U.S. and beyond to study Arabic music theory and history as well as performance. 2012 Faculty: Simon Shaheen, Executive and Artistic Director Dr. A.J.
