American-born Bangladeshi author Dilruba Ahmed will read from her debut collection, Dhaka Dust, winner of the 2010 Bakeless Literary Prize awarded by the Bread Loaf Writers Conference. Selected by Arthur Sze, he praised its "rich and luminous weave" of cultural location and perspective. Richard Jarrette will read from Beso the Donkey, a cycle of poems about a wounded and abandoned jackass and his caregiver's attempts to understand and heal him. The collection has been praised by Jane Hirshfield as a "profound, grave, and original book [that] investigates all being".
