“Working Writers” Talk
A reading and discussion with author Mira Bartók, a Chicago-born artist and writer and the author of 28 books for children, Bartók’s writing has appeared in several literary journals and anthologies and has been noted in The Best American Essays series. She lives in western Massachusetts, where she runs Mira’s List (miraslist.blogspot.com), a blog that helps artists find funding and residences all over the world. She has received awards from such organizations as the Fulbright-Hayes Foundation, the Associated Writing Programs, and the Carnegie Fund for Writers. Her critically acclaimed memoir, “The Memory Palace,” has been recently released in paperback. “Working Writers” is an occasional forum on creative nonfiction where emerging and experienced writers, agents and publishers gather to read from their work and talk about writing for the mainstream press. .
