new theater house (nth) will present "The Whale Play," a new text by Victor I. Cazares, as part of their residency at the Amherst College Department of Theater and Dance. The first public performances of "The Whale Play," created by resident company new theater house and Directed by Shana Cooper (director of last year’s production of "Eurydice" by Sarah Ruhl), will be shared with the Amherst community at Holden Theater (located on the Amherst College campus, directly behind the Admission Office, 220 South Pleasant St. in Amherst, Mass.), Sept. 2-5. Sept. 2 is a preview; Opening and Press Night is Sept. 3.
