The UMass Permaculture Your Campus Conference
June 20-22, 2012
Registration starts at 12:00pm June 20th
UMass Amherst has had great success with their Permaculture Initiative, getting students and staff to collaborate and growing food on campus by students, and for the students in the dining commons. UMass Permaculture wants to teach universities all over the nation how to grow food sustainably on their campus' and how to start their own permaculture initiative by hosting a conference. Permaculture Your Campus is a working-conference that focuses on permaculture as a multifunctional strategy for campus sustainability. It takes place June 20-22, 2012 at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Five college scholarships are available. Frances Moore Lappe Kicks off UMass Permaculture Conference
Renowned author of Diet for a Small Planet, Frances Moore Lappé will be at UMass Amherst for an unforgettable event on June 20th. She will be kicking off The Permaculture Your Campus Conference with a talk about her new book EcoMind, "changing the way we think, to create the world we want." Please RSVP to reserve your seat for this event. Seats are limited! This event is open to the public with suggested donations of $5-20 at the door. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. All donations will go towards scholarships for the conference.
