Works for Two Instruments
Violinists Elizabeth Chang (UMass) and Joel Pitchon (Smith) and pianists Judith Gordon (Smith) and Alissa Leiser (Amherst) perform works by Stravinsky--sonata for two pianos and virtuoso arrangements for violin and piano of music taken from "The Firebird"-as well as works written specifically for them by local composers Eric Sawyer, Allen Shawn and Salvatore Macchia.
Amherst College professor of music David Schneider will introduce the concert.
